Revolutionary Spaces Invites You to Step Into the Revolution at the 2025 Old South Meeting House Party and The Let Out After Party

Old South Meeting House Party 2025

BOSTON, MA (October 1, 2025) – Revolutionary Spaces will host an unforgettable evening of immersive storytelling, history, and community on Thursday, October 16, 2025, with two back-to-back events: Old South Meeting House Party and The Let Out, a late-night celebration in collaboration with Everyone250—a national initiative marking America’s upcoming semiquincentennial—at the Old State House. Together, these experiences will bring guests closer to the people, debates and turning points that paved the way to the Declaration of Independence.

“We’re thrilled to welcome our community back to Old South Meeting House for an evening that sparks civic imagination,” said Nathaniel Sheidley, President and CEO of Revolutionary Spaces. “By connecting past struggles for independence to today’s challenges, we invite all people to see themselves as part of America’s unfolding story and urge you to carry forward the legacy of civic participation that shaped this nation. We are also honored to partner with Everyone250 on our after party at the Old State House, expanding access to history and engaging new audiences in the urgent conversations that continue to shape our democracy.”

The night begins at the Old South Meeting from 6:00–9:00 p.m. with the House Party, honoring acclaimed photographer and documentarian Lou Jones, recognized for his extraordinary images of Boston’s communities during the nation’s Bicentennial. Attendees will enjoy a digital showcase of Jones’ iconic work, storytelling that revisits Revolutionary debates, and colonial-inspired food and cocktails by Chef David Welch of Chef Dave’s.

The evening will be emceed by Daniel Berger-Jones, a Boston-based entrepreneur, performer, producer, and director. Joining him for featured performances is an extraordinary lineup of artists: Amanda Shea, a three-time Boston Music Award–winning spoken word artist; Chanon Judson, an acclaimed choreographer, and educator whose work explores the intersections of dance, community, and cultural memory; and Joliné I. Brito Ortiz, a Dominican writer, poet, and student bringing a fresh perspective to the program.

Proceeds from the House Party support Revolutionary Spaces’ mission to preserve the Old South Meeting House and Old State House while creating bold, immersive public programs. Sponsorships and tickets are available at revolutionaryspaces.org/house-party-2025.

When the House Party concludes, the evening continues just down the street at the Old State House from 9:00–11:00 p.m. with The Let Out—a free, after-hours event co-sponsored by Everyone250. The Let Out  blends music, performance, and community for a new generation of revolutionaries. Guests can explore the time-honored halls, dance to DJ Mez, enjoy seasonal desserts and ice cream from Chef Dave’s and JP Licks, and participate in a community gathering and balcony vignette featuring spoken word that reimagines Revolutionary history. Raffle prizes include a two-night Boston hotel stay and gifts from local businesses.

Admission is free with advance registration, and attendees are encouraged to donate an amount meaningful to them. Proceeds benefit BIPOC artists, local creative businesses, and inclusive programming that celebrates Boston’s revolutionary legacy. Guests of all ages are welcome; valid ID is required for 21+ to consume alcohol. Full event policies and accessibility details are available here.
