Crispus Attucks Day &
Boston Massacre Commemoration

Thursday, March 5, 2026

On Thursday, March 5th, Commemorate Crispus Attucks Day in Boston and the 256th anniversary of the Boston Massacre with Revolutionary Spaces.

To honor Crispus Attucks Day in the City of Boston, Revolutionary Spaces will host a special commemorative program for Boston Public School students, including recipients of the annual Crispus Attucks Essay Contest and students from Boston’s Eliot School. Presented in partnership with the Friends of Crispus Attucks Association, Boston Public Schools, and Boston City Councilor Brian Worrell, this invitation-only program will take place at 10:00 AM inside the Old State House Council Chamber.

Due to limited capacity, attendance is restricted, though additional guests may be accommodated as space allows. Sign up for our waitlist below.

Immediately following the program, the public is invited to gather at the Boston Massacre memorial plaza outside the Old State House for a wreath-laying ceremony at 10:30 AM. This moment of remembrance honors those who lost their lives during the Boston Massacre and reflects on the lasting impact of this pivotal event in American history. Remarks will be offered by Revolutionary Spaces President and CEO Nat Sheidley and Boston City Councilor Brian Worrell. The wreath-laying is free and open to the public, with pre-registration strongly encouraged.

We welcome the community to come together in reflection and remembrance as we honor the sacrifices that helped shape the nation and the enduring ideals of freedom and democracy.
