Boston's Activists of Color
A Historical Tour and Contemporary Conversation
Are you a history buff? Ever wondered how do the circumstances and actions of past centuries’ activists resonate with young professionals today? Or, are there conditions in today’s Greater Boston that make community activism (in the workplace and beyond) easier or more difficult for young professionals? Join us for a facilitated discussion that will address those questions and more. We’ll also examine a short, locally made film about anti-slavery activists in Boston’s Beacon Hill neighborhood; a dynamic introduction to several community leaders and activists in pre-19th century Boston.

This public event was a part of the 2020 Fierce Urgency of Now (F.U.N.) Festival. The F.U.N. Festival (#FUNinBOS) is a five-day-long event hosted by City Awake in partnership with organizations throughout the Greater Boston region, highlighting the challenges and experiences of young professionals of color.
